YOUR GUIDE TO FOUNDATION
Follow our guide to which foundation best matches your skin tone
STEP 1
CLEANSE
Cleanse your neck and jawline to ensure you can see your own natural skin tone
STEP 2
FIND YOUR TEINT
Hold a piece of white paper up to your neck, preferably in daylight, and assess whether you have a cold, neutral or warm teint in comparison.
If your skin looks reddish/pink, you should wear a foundation with a cold teint (the veins in your wrist look blue).
If your skin looks neutral, you should wear a foundation with a neutral teint (the veins in your wrist look both blue and green).
If your skin looks golden/yellow, you should wear a foundation with a warm teint (the veins in your wrist look green)
STEP 3
FIND YOUR SHADE
If you have the shades in front of you
Place the shades on your neck and jaw area and see which one matches you best.
Focus on finding your teint first and then your shade, which will depend on how dark or light your skin is.
Tip: Don't put on too much foundation - you need to be able to blend it out and see whether the colour matches your skin.
FIND YOUR SHADE
If you don't have the shades in front of you
Look at the model’s arm or face to see which shade matches you
best.
